What is ESPNPlay?

ESPN Play is the right place for you to enjoy your favorite sports content, Live and On Demand on your PC, Tablet and Smartphone.

What content is available on ESPN Play?

In addition to the content available on ESPN TV networks, on ESPN Play you have thousands of exclusive sports events: Cricket, Football, tennis, MLB, NBA, NCAA, Motorsports, Boxing and much more.

How can I watch a ESPN Play event?

If you have already verified your TV provider, you will be able to navigate and watch all available content. If a lock icon appears next to your content, you will need to verify your account.

How do I start watching ESPN Play?

If you have already verified/authenticated with your TV provider, you will be able to navigate and watch all content that is available with your TV subscription.

Who will be able to access ESPN Play content?

Users with a ESPN Play affiliated TV or internet provider must authenticate to gain access to live events, replays, On Demand content and ESPN networks.

How do I authenticate and log in to ESPN Play on my mobile or tablet device if my TV provider is a participating provider?

Download and launch the ESPN Play app to your mobile or tablet device. The first time you open the app, you will be prompted to select your TV or internet provider and log in with the username and password your provider has issued to you. If you do not complete this process the first time you use the app, you can start this process at any time by trying to play ESPN Play content.

How do I verify my account?

To play live ESPN Play programming, you will need to sign in with your TV provider account. Select a ESPN Play event from any ESPNPlay.com or any ESPNPlay app. Select your TV provider from the provider list when prompted. Once you have successfully signed in to your provider account, you will be able to access programming and networks included in your current subscription.

Will I be required to sign in every time I use ESPN Play?

In most cases, there is no need to re-enter your verification credentials. Some TV providers may require you to re-verify your account after a predetermined time period.

Which ISPs/internet providers allow access to ESPN Play?

ESPN Play requires a video subscription from an affiliated provider. A list of affiliated video providers can be found here.

Can I access ESPNPlay internationally?

You can only access ESPN Play from the country where your TV or internet provider gives service.

Where can I find a list of upcoming events by sport? How can I watch a replay?

Select the Schedule & Replays tab from the ESPN Play navigation bar. You will see a listing of events currently available under the Live Now, Upcoming and Replay tabs. Use the All Sports dropdown to filter by a sport or category. Click on a live or replay event to start watching.

Is there a cost to download the ESPN Play app?

ESPN Play is free to downlaod. However, you must be a subscriber of a participating TV or internet service provider in order to have access to live events, replays, On Demand content and ESPN networks.

What networks are available through ESPN Play?

ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNSec & ESPNU. If you don't see any of these available, please contact your TV service provider to ask for it.

The content available on ESPN Play is the same I have on ESPN TV networks?

In addition to the content available on ESPN TV networks, on ESPN Play you have thousands of exclusive sports events: Cricket, Football, tennis, MLB, NBA, NCAA, Motorsports, Boxing and much more.

What if my video subscription is not through one of the affiliated providers for ESPN Play?

We are working diligently to sign additional agreements for more fans to access ESPN Play. Call your TV provider to request ESPN Play.

Why is my streaming quality poor or is always freezing or stalling?

If playback stalls, stops or plays slowly, try one or all of the following:

Why is my audio and video not in sync?

Make sure that you are not doing anything network intensive on the same connection, such as downloading or sharing large files, or playing online games. Next, try re-starting the video player to see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, contact ESPN Customer Care.

When I launch ESPN Play, I see a black screen, nothing happens or there is no audio/video. What is wrong?

Video can take several seconds to display or you may be running a content filter, antivirus application or proxy accelerator that is preventing the streaming of video content. Please turn off these services and try again. If the problem persists, please contact ESPN Customer Care.

I am an ESPN video subscriber with a participating TV provider but I am unable to access all the networks on ESPN Play, why is this occurring?

Not all TV packages include access to every ESPN network/channel. You may need to upgrade your package to gain access or petition your TV service provider to carry additional networks. If you believe that you are being blocked from a network/channel that is included in your package, contact your provider to ensure your online registration is complete and that your subscription is current.

Why am I seeing an error message displaying in a screen overlay on ESPN Play?

Error messages from your video service provider may appear on ESPN Play. Messages appear when there is an issue with your video service/cable subscription. In this case, you should contact your video service/cable provider customer service department for further assistance.

Is there a wireless data charge to view ESPN Play on my mobile device or tablet?

Many wireless providers have specific data plans to support video consumption. Please check with your provider to confirm you have an appropriate plan.
